Camping Style 2-Night Retreat at Glenrock Scout Camp
“My friend and I needed to find some better strategies for our day to day lives. The retreat was marvellous. Sensible, useable meditation…
and such a positive outlook on life.”
– Catherine Cussan
What is rhythmic meditation?
Rhythmic meditation carries no religious affiliations or dogma, rather – it involves a collection of (fun!) rhythmic games.
In other words, it’s as simple as: Step, Clap and sing. You don’t need to be an amazing singer. It’s about singing as a group, to enhance a calm and clear state of mind. These games will bring on a certain sense of self-awareness. Depending on where you are on your journey, the experience could be triggering, releasing, expanding or even blissful.
Dive into the healing work of transformation with meditation, mindfulness and music.

This retreat experience is for you if…
- You want to learn, and experience broadening your horizons by leaving your comfort zone, in a safe way.
- You have no musical experience and would like to explore music and rhythm.
- You are curious about mindfulness and the power of meditation
- You’ve tried other for forms of meditation (but haven’t loved it), and you would like to see if music and movement is a gateway.
- You’re seeking to connect with a group of like-minds, interested in human transformation.
- You have an open mind and feel willing to truly and honestly see where you are in life.
Deceivingly simple, this process is less about rhythm and more about life. In a safe space, we experience and dive into what it’s like to experience falling out of the rhythm of life – as we all sometimes do. Here, the rhythm is just a tool to experience how the mind and our old habitual patterns can get in the way of ourselves.
This retreat is led by Athil Singh, a down-to-earth and relatable facilitator (and founder of Happy Buddha Retreats). Athil helps people unleash their creative abilities and connect with themselves in an authentic way. He achieves this through a playful approach, as he feels meditation is easiest when you’re having fun!
